I read books and write stories and dance when no one's watching. I like music and movies and singing songs I know by heart. I dream of adventure on wide open seas and in the heart of a tropical island. I laugh and smile and take pictures of the good things.

If you were to meet me in person, you would probably think me reserved. Shy, even. And, yeah, I admit it. I am. But not always. If I get to know you, I'll talk your ear off about the latest books I've been reading and my all-time favorite show - Signed, Sealed, Delivered. I act like a weirdo (or a major grump) when sleep-deprived, and I like to be organized. Learning new things excites me. I love to travel, and I wouldn't want to do much of it without my family and my fluffy white dog.

I hike and rock climb and swim and have just gotten the chance to play flag football, of all things. But I'm kinda loving it.

Writing is what I long to do. I get an immense amount of joy from creating people and plots and worlds that aren't real. Through them, His love can be shown. I talk in a British accent on occasion and try to recreate dialogue from movies I like when I'm alone. I make a mean blended coffee and bake almost as well.

But I've realized none of this really defines me. So, then - who am I? A daughter of the King of kings and a friend of Jesus and the temple of the Holy Spirit. I am loved and chosen and redeemed. My faith affects every single part of my life. He is good and more loving than I can even imagine.

My name? Micaiah. (Pronounced Ma-kaya) I'm seventeen. I stand five feet and three inches tall from planet earth. I like making friends, and so I hope you'll stick around! Throw me a note, a hello, a wave, and I promise I'll wave back.
